How close is Texas ATH to choice

Houston (Texas) Westside athlete R.J. Jackson continues to list several schools above the many others who have extended scholarship offers his way.
“I have offers from most of the schools I am considering,” the 6-foot, 197-pound Jackson said. “I would say there are three schools who are kind of at the top of the list right now. I’m not saying they’re the favorite or anything, but I like what they have had to say so far.”

Jackson’s three schools right now are Texas, Oklahoma State and LSU.
“I really like what those schools have to offer me,” he said. “Oklahoma State is a school that has won a lot of games over the past few years. I think they have a good thing going on there. Texas is another school that wins games every year and they are a school everyone in the state knows about. LSU, they won the national championship last year. They are on a roll there and continue to look like they are just adding more talent. It would be a really good place to play.”
Several other schools are in the hunt for Jackson’s talents. He is also considering Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Houston and UCLA.
“They have all offered scholarships too,” he said. “It is not that I don’t like what these schools have to say, it’s just that what I know about those other three at this time sounds really good to me.”
Jackson hopes to have his decision out of the way before his senior season begins.
“I really want to make a choice before school starts. If I can do that and be comfortable with it, I wouldn’t have to deal with all the stuff from recruiters during the season and the winter. I really think that would be nice to have it out of the way.”
