Houston Yates has more prospects

Houston Yates High School is back on the map.
Last season, athlete Stacy Williams committed to Baylor and defensive tackle Patrick Dorsey signed with Kansas. Over the spring, defensive end Damion Square and offensive lineman Leroy Chevalier have been highly coveted as 2008 prospects. Chevalier recently re-committed to Texas A&M and Square has been offered by programs including Michigan, Miami, Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Nebraska.

With all of the traffic coming through Yates, other athletes are picking up offers.
Defensive end Kenneth Frankson recently picked up his first two offers from UTEP and Hawaii. He also has an offer from Stephen F. Austin.
"He played defensive end last year and has gotten so much bigger and stronger that he may move into tackle," Yates defensive coordinator Jeff Ceasar said. "He's a solid football player and his work ethic is tremendous. He's filled out and is coming off an all-district season."
Defensive back Jeremiah Alexander (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) also picked up his first offer from Hawaii.
"Jeremiah is a good cover corner and could play safety if needed," Ceasar said. "He can run, hit and also be a return specialist at the next level. He's really talented. As far as the distance goes, I don't think that would really affect his decision."
