Cy Ridge (Texas) High School receiver Kevin Johnson has officially been passed the baton from former quarterback Russell Shepard as the leader of the Rams.
Johnson received an offer from Arizona yesterday, adding to a list that includes Baylor, Rice, SMU and Minnesota.

Oklahoma State is on the cusp of an official offer as well.
"Kevin is fixing to explode, as it relates to offers," Cy Ridge coach Gary Thiebaud said. "Schools love his size and speed and the way he can get vertical. He is great in the weight room and is already fully qualified academically."
The 6-foot-2 receiver was an all-district selection as a junior, but could replace Shepard as the Rams quarterback in 2009.
"He has taken over for Russell in the leadership category," Thiebaud said. "He is getting everyone together for after school and weekend workouts."
Also emerging as a Cy Ridge prospect is offensive lineman Robert Scarpati.
"Recruiters will see how much he has grown in the offseason," Thiebaud said. "He will be able to play at 280 pounds in college."
