Houston WR liked trip to the desert

One of the better wide receiver prospects in the Lone Star State year is Houston (Texas) Lamar wide out Brandon LaFell. LaFell has racked up many offers and has a tough choice to make in the future. But, first things first, LaFell took his first official visit this past weekend and came away impressed with what he saw.
“My visit to Arizona went good, real good,” said the three-star rated LaFell. “I was hosted by Ronnie Palmer and he is a very nice guy, he was a great host. We watched the game and they showed me the campus and everything is really nice down there. They have a lot of guys from Texas and especially Houston on their team so that is a good thing.”

LaFell is also a two sport athlete as he played summer basketball on the AAU circuit. While in Tucson he hooked up with one of the guys he knew from his time playing AAU.
“I met up with Jawann (McClellan, Arizona freshman guard) and he was trying to get me to commit to Arizona while I was there,” LaFell said. “He said that Arizona treats people the right way and that it is a great school.”
Other than Arizona, LaFell says that he knows what other schools he wants to visit.
“I will most likely visit Nebraska, LSU, Utah and probably Oklahoma State,” he said. “All of them have offered except for LSU so far. My trip to Arizona went as good as I expected.”
