Houston Westbury has plenty of talent

Houston (Texas) Westbury is not just home to four-star defensive end Russell Carter but also several other sleeper prospects that are on the verge of or just picked up their first scholarship offer.
Linebacker Lawerence Minor had a slew of coaches come by to watch him during the spring and that brought his first offer in from Utah. The talented young man is taking things slow.

"I got Utah about two weeks into the spring," Minor said. "A lot of schools came by though like LSU, I get a letter from them everyday, Houston, Kansas State, Arizona, and Arkansas. I'm pretty open right now though."
Baylor is showing heavy interest in safety prospect Pat Smith, a 6-foot, 190-pounder.
"They're my favorite school right now," Smith said about the Bears. "I like their coaching staff and their program."
Sleeper defensive tackle Marvin Wells (6-foot, 250 pounds), is not just doing well athletically but academically. Wells says that he recently scored a 1630 on his SAT and SMU is one school taking notice.
"They're thinking about offering me," Wells said about SMU. "They're really looking at me after my SAT score. I'm also hearing from Sam Houston State, Houston, and Utah."
Wells played offense last year and was a guard. He's being recruited as a defensive tackle.
