Houston star leaving the state

The Missouri City (Texas) Hightower Hurricanes are simply loaded this season. Coach Gene Johnson is blessed with over a dozen Division I prospects, and his defensive lineman Theo Goins will make his college choice official in a few days.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defender has been offered by UTEP, Arizona, Central Florida and McNeese State, and it appears he will be heading to the Sunshine State.

"I'm going to commit to Central Florida in a few days," he said. "I'm going to the University of Houston's camp this Friday, but then I'll commit to Central Florida probably this weekend."
Goins has been impressed with Golden Knight coach George O'Leary and position coach Jim Panagos.
"I like the coaches and Conference USA a lot," he said. "I'm excited to take my visit there sometime during the season."
Houston will get one more chance at Goins, who lives just miles from the campus.
"I have interest in Houston but they haven't offered me," he said. "I'm going to see how the camp goes and we'll see. They are right here at home, but right now all of my attention is on UCF."
The other prospects at Hightower include receivers Isiah Sweeney, Anthony Ledet and Clyde Lee, and offensive linemen Xavier Swain (UTEP commit), Devon Miles and Ben Hamilton.
