Houston Speed Skill: Top underclassmen

Recruiting Wrap: Stewart is waiting on his first scholarship offer.
Performance: The 6-foot, 190-pound Stewart is also a safety, but he shows more
of the free safety skillset -- speed and range who can close down passing lanes
and run the alley. Stewart has really good instincts and ball skills, and he
broke on the football for several pass break-ups during one-on-one and 7-on-7
play. As he develops, focus on staying disciplined will help him round out as a
player.

Recruiting Wrap: Beck is waiting on his first scholarship offer. Performance: Beck is currently listing himself as a cornerback prospect and that's where he looks most comfortable right now but, at 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, he could grow into a free safety before all is said and done. As it is, the sophomore has long arms and plays with great length. He did very well in one-on-ones, registering several pass break-ups. |

Performance: An early four-star in the 2017 class, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Ausbon is a big, powerful wide receiver. He is still developing the ball skills and route-running aspects required of the position, but he was able to make some impressive catches by using his body to shield defenders. Speed is also not an issue for Ausbon, who accelerates quickly and has the ability to stick his foot in the ground and make an explosive cut. |

Recruiting Wrap: Lee holds an early offer from Texas Tech. Performance: Lee is not the biggest of cornerbacks at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, but what he lacks in height he makes up for in leaping ability. He went airborne for a pass break-up on one particular one-on-one rep that seemed to defy gravity. His unique athleticism aside, Lee was in the hip pocket of receivers all day and showed outstanding coverage skills. |

Recruiting Wrap: Roane is waiting on his first scholarship offer. Performance: Dillon Sterling-Cole's dominating performance on Saturday overshadowed several other really strong quarterback outings. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Roane was very solid from beginning to end. The left-hander threw for over 3,000 yards as a sophomore, but beyond that production, Saturday's camp showed us that Roane mechanically is a very solid quarterback who has both accuracy and velocity. |

Recruiting Wrap: Williams is waiting on his first scholarship offer. Performance: Williams came in a little nicked up and didn't take a lot of repetitions, but when he did the freshman showed why his name is buzzing around the Houston area early in his career. The 5-foot-9, 153-pound Williams is known as a speedster and he put that speed on display Saturday. He also showed good ball skills, coming down with several big receptions during one-on-one repetitions. |

Recruiting Wrap: Grammer is waiting on his first scholarship offer. Performance: One-on-ones are most difficult for linebackers, who are tasked with defending running backs for whom the advantages of change of direction and quickness usually lie with. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Grammer, however, found a lot of success during his one-on-one reps. We had him down for two interceptions, including one during the fast-paced 7-on-7 portion of the event. |

Recruiting Wrap: Roscoe is waiting on his first scholarship offer. Performance: Like Grammer, Roscoe also found an unusual amount of success for a linebacker in the one-on-one portion of the camp. Built like an inside linebacker at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Roscoe showed great speed to the sidelines and broke up several passes, including one where he undercut the receiver and should have had a pick six. He came back a few repetitions later and did the exact same thing, this time reeling in the interception. |
