Houston solid with UNC

Four-star running back Ryan Houston took his official visit this past weekend to North Carolina. The 6-foot-2, 245-pounder originally committed to the Tar Heels back in June when John Bunting was head coach. After his departure, Houston opened up his recruitment slightly. Has he reaffirmed his pledge to UNC?
"I never really decommitted from North Carolina," he said. "I did somewhat look around, but after this weekend I'm recommitting back with the Tar Heels. I went up on my official just to make sure that was the right choice for me.

"I liked the people, players and it felt like home. I got to meet all the coaches including the offensive coordinator and line coach. They showed me different schemes and how they'll run the ball."
Of course, Houston met with Butch Davis for a while too.
"I talked to him and I like what he's doing there," he said. "Everybody on campus is excited about Carolina football and they are going to do big things. I think we're going to change them and turn a couple heads."
The Rivals250 prospect is looking forward to enrolling at North Carolina this summer.
"I can't wait to get up there after I graduate and get ready for the 2007-2008 season," he said. "The coaches haven't guaranteed me any playing time, but if I practice hard, I should be able to find the field."
