Houston school maintains top talent

Aldine (Texas) High School coach Bob Jones keeps up with scholarship offers on a grease board in his office.
Last season Terrance Anderson filled up his board. Now, the 2007 class is keeping that tradition going. Defensive back Curtis Thomas is building a list as long as his arm as a member of this year's class. The 2008 group will again keep the same course.

The six-foot hybrid safety Thomas' list includes Kansas State, Houston, Baylor, Nebraska, Michigan State and Illinois, and is building.
Thomas' athleticism makes him versatile enough to play cover corner and physical enough to come up and make tackles as a safety. He has yet to name a favorite but he should have several opportunities to choose from.
Also making the coaches' board is offensive lineman Daniel Campbell, a member of the 2008 class. Florida and BYU have extended legitimate verbal offers the 6-6, 290-pound tackle.
"Daniel is a big kid with a lot of upside," Jones said. "Coaches love his size and he can move pretty well being that big."
