Houston safety gets first offer

Houston Cypress Falls defensive back Andre Sexton got the first offer out of the way.
Sexton (6-0, 190-pounds) has been offered by Utah, and is receiving significant interest from Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Houston and Arizona.

“If I was offered by one of the top three schools, I’d commit early – no doubt,” he said. “My top schools are OSU, Arizona, Arkansas, Syracuse, Houston and Missouri.”
The second-team, all-district selection is fully qualified, but plans on taking the SAT and ACT tests in the next few months.
“I qualified the first time I took the tests, but I want to do better,” he said.
Sexton, who has gotten his 40-yard-dash time down in the low 4.5s, is the big safety that Division I schools covet.
“Some schools are trying to move me to cornerback, but I like to hit too much,” he said.
