Houston RB still likes same three

Pearland, Texas, running back Brandon Roberson racked up more than 2,000 yards rushing the past two seasons, but this season things have been a little bit different. But that’s not keeping the college coaches away.
“We’re now using a three-back set, and I’m not getting as many carries,” Roberson, who is 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, said. “We’re winning games, so that’s the most important thing that I’m worried about. I’m still getting really good yards, but we have three guys in the backfield so teams can’t just focus on one guy.”

Roberson has racked up 894 yards this season, but is still averaging more than eight yards a carry. It’s that type of production that has him with a solid top three list of Northwestern, Iowa and TCU.
Northwestern remains his lone scholarship offer, but he’s working on lining up official visits to all three schools.
“I’m just trying to focus on the season the most at this point,” Roberson said. “We’re 4-0 in district and 7-0 on the season. So you can see why recruiting has kind of been a little bit pushed back.”
