Houston QB standing pat

Aldine (Texas) Eisenhower quarterback Kenny Guiton exploded on the scene last season, throwing for nearly 2,600 yards and 17 touchdowns and leading the Eagles to the playoffs.
The 6-foot-2 signal caller was rewarded for his 2007 exploits with five official offers this spring. Kansas, Iowa State, Rice, Houston and Northwestern all offered Guiton and are awaiting a decision.

"I won't commit before the season and I want to take some visits this fall," he said. "That might hurt me a little but I really feel like I need to see the school to commit to it."
Guiton admits that Kansas was his leader, but things have changed.
"They got a commit from another quarterback, so I'm opening my mind up a lot more," he said.
While recruiting is on his mind, the Eagles have been invited to travel to Oregon to play in the national 7-on-7 tournament over the next week.
"We are really excited to play up there and it's great exposure for all of us," he said. "After that, we come back and just get in the weight room until school starts."
