Houston OL gets first offer
Klein, Texas offensive lineman Clay Hebert has been in the shadows of national recruit J.B. Shugarts for the past several months. Now, Hebert has added his first offer from Rice University after a junior day visit last weekend.
Hebert has attended junior days at Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech, but finally struck gold at Rice.

"We hit a few junior days but Rice was different," father Clyde Hebert said. "We met the offensive line coach and he had already seen Clay's tape. He was impressed and they offered during the day.
"It's an honor to be offered by Rice with their academic reputation. Clay is going to have to make a decision here pretty soon."
Hebert is projected as a guard or center in college and will be participating in track and spring practice while mulling over his options.
