Houston impresses three-star CB

Pearland, Texas, three-star cornerback Quinton Moore didn’t venture too far from home for his official visit this weekend. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Moore took a visit to Houston this weekend, and it was a visit that he came away impressed with.
“I really enjoyed it,” he said. “I felt really comfortable. I felt like I was at home. I knew where I was going, and where I was at the whole time. The people there also had a lot in common with me. They were all from the same area here in Houston.”

Even though the Cougars impressed, Moore isn’t going to rush into a decision. He’s got a tentative visit scheduled with Oklahoma State next weekend and he’s now more and more interested in Texas A&M, a school that he’s not listed a lot previously.
“They were kind of shaky with me early on,” Moore said. “I just didn’t know about them. I got a chance to talk to coach Pope for a long time, and he got me looking at a lot of things. I looked at their depth chart, the way they’re winning games, and I got to thinking about what it would be like to play in the Big 12.”
Moore said at this point he’s not tipping his hand to a leader, but he did say his mother would like to have him stay near home.
“It doesn’t have to be in-state, but it just needs to be not too far from home,” he said.
