Houston gets juco pledge

Houston has done a great job of recruiting the Kansas junior colleges, and the Cougars have gotten a leg up on the competition with a commitment from a very solid prospect at Dodge City (Kan.) Dodge City C.C.
According to Dodge City assistant Jared Powers, the Cougars received a pledge earlier this week from safety Antonio Staten.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect has been clocked as low as 4.5-seconds in the 40-yard dash, and he's an excellent get for the Cougars, Powers said.
"He's going to be one of our best in the sophomore class," Powers said. "He's on track to graduate in December and should have three years to play three seasons."
Originally from Arkansas, Staten redshirted last season, giving him an extra year of eligibility on the next level.
