Houston gets in-state pair

Texas Class 2A state Terrance Ganaway of DeKalb High School committed to the Houston Cougars this week.
Ganaway (6-0, 180 pounds), the two-time Class 2A Player of the Year, has been recruited as a running back for the Cougar program.

"I'm excited about committing," Ganaway said. "They've been talking to me the longest and I feel that it's the right fit for me."
Ganaway rushed for 2,835 yards and 36 touchdowns as a senior, and was also named first-team, all-state on defense. He was thought to have committed to SMU, but changed his verbal commitment.
"They want me on the offensive side of the ball," he said. "The guys made me feel at home and the coaches were very up front with me. I liked being around everyone and look forward to getting on campus."
Houston also received a commitment from Richardson Berkner's Justin Johnson, who originally verbally committed to Baylor University.
Johnson (6-1, 180 pounds) is a versatile athlete that could play safety, inside receiver or linebacker.
