You can add another Texas quarterback to the list of players with a scholarship offer. The latest is Forney, Texas, pro-style quarterback Caleb Hanie.
“Caleb was offered by the University of Houston,” Hanie’s father, Robert Hanie, said. “Coach Briles called him and offered him a full ride.”
Houston was the first, but isn’t likely to be the last to offer the 6-foot-2, 226-pound Hanie. Hanie earned second-team all-district honors as a junior and was named his district’s newcomer of the year after passing for more than 1,500 yards and also rushing for an additional 300 more.
Hanie is also getting interest from Baylor, Duke, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri and TCU.
