Houston duo make pledges

North Shore wide-out Chris Riser and offensive lineman Robert Ramirez made it official over the weekend.
Ramirez (6-foot-3, 280 pounds) was joined by teammates Chykie Brown (Texas-commit) and Kevin Rutland (Missouri-commit) on Channel 55 KTBE' High School Sports Live as he committed to Texas State University.

"I'm going to Texas State because I feel I can develop there academically, socially and spiritually," Ramirez said. "I think I can come in and play early and it won't be bad to have my teammate 20 minutes up the road at Texas."
Ramirez was a two-time, all-district selection at North Shore.
The versatile Riser (5-foot-7, 155 pounds) officially visited Louisiana Tech over the weekend and committed to the Bulldogs staff. He was a three-year starter at North Shore and will play baseball for Louisiana Tech as well.
"I enjoyed my trip and it was just a good fit," Riser said.
