Houston DB gets Big 12 offer

The Galena Park North Shore Mustangs have been down in the Division I prospect department over the past two seasons. The uber-program is making up for lost time.
Committed are Barrett Matthews to Texas and Thaddeus Randle to Nebraska, and cover cornerback Andrae May could be next.

The 6-foot May has had a tremendous spring and received his first official offer this week from Oklahoma State. Nebraska will be on campus for the second time to see May and says they have an offer coming.
"He reminds me of Chykie Brown who played here a couple of years ago," North Shore coach David Aymond said. "He's long and angular and can cover for his size. He's talented."
May was an honorable mention defensive back last season on the Mustangs' state semi-final team.
"I had a good season last year and I'm just getting bigger and stronger," he said. "I'm happy with all of the attention and with the offer. I want to commit before the season starts are really like Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Texas Tech."
With May close to being in someone's boat, that leaves linebacker Daniel Salinas and defensive ends Terrance Kindle and Jestin White.
"Daniel is getting close with Fresno State," Aymond said. "The two defensive ends are going to really develop over the summer and have great years as seniors."
