Houston CB inching toward first offer

Houston (Texas) Booker T. Washington cornerback James Cooper has the stats for a top cornerback in the state which makes the 5-foot-10, 165-pound speedy athlete wonder when the offers will come.
During his senior season, Cooper grabbed seven interceptions for his Washington team. Schools like Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, Florida, Florida State, and Clemson have all sent him interest. Now that he has taken his SAT, he feels things will start heading his way.

"I took my SAT on Saturday and I think I did really well," Cooper said. "That's what everybody was waiting on. Now I can set up visits and get that all set up."
Two schools that Cooper has in mind for visits include UCLA and Oklahoma State.
"I hear from both of those schools the most on the phone," Cooper said. "They said they wanted me to take the SAT, so now that it's done, I think I'll schedule my stuff out there. Houston is the same way. I'll probably get out there soon if I can."
Cooper says he's staying open and is unsure of when he'll commit.
"I'm not sure," Cooper said about a decision. "I've got to sit down with my parents when the first offer comes and we'll discuss it."
