Houston athlete holding five offers

It's hard to keep a secret in college recruiting circles and the secret is out on one eastside Houston athlete.
North Shore's "Downtown" Chykie Brown is up to five offers with several to come.
Oklahoma State, Houston, Arizona, Indiana and Nebraska have officially offered the 6-foot cornerback with several teams circling, LSU and Texas most notably.
Brown was not an all-district selection for North Shore last season and was a bit player on the Mustangs' 2003 state championship team.
"He has grown up tremendously over the past two seasons and this is the fruit of his labor," North Shore coach David Aymond said. "Every coach that comes through here wants him. He's just the big cover cornerback everyone is looking for."
