Oklahoma’s second junior day ended with commitments from rising juniors Theo Wease and Arjei Henderson, but current junior cornerback Starrland Baldwin Jr. opened up his recruitment with an offer from the Sooners as well.

“It means the world to me - I have been watching OU since I was younger and visiting there was like a dream,” he said. “The new facility getting built out there is amazing and the program is full of great coaches. Getting that that offer was the perfect topping to a great day.”

A number of players that already held Oklahoma offers were in attendance at the event, but per the list of attendees reported by SoonerScoop.com Baldwin was one of just several players that left with a new offer of his own. Early indications are that Oklahoma defensive tackle Jordan Kelley is the only other prospect to have received an offer on Sunday.

Baldwin said that he received the news during his look at the facilities with his family. Oklahoma is now clearly his biggest offer, his only others are from McNeese State and Wayland Baptist.

“Coach (Kerry) Cooks pulled me and my family to the side before we toured the second half of the facility and told us to put our hands in to get a break,” he said. “While our hands and heads were down he told me that he talked to Bob Stoops and told me that I was welcomed into the family and I now have an offer.”

Baldwin is an invite to the upcoming Rivals Three Stripe Camp Series and a standout cornerback at Cypress Falls High School in the Houston area.
