Hopkins setting up visits
St. Louis (Mo.) Oakville strongside defensive end John Hopkins has offers on the team from Indiana, Michigan State and Northern Illinois. He's had a good season so far, leading his team to a perfect 8-0 record, which has only helped increase his recruiting attention.
"I'm leading the conference in sacks and tackles," he said. "I've been having a really good season. It's probably my best season. I'll get all-conference. I think I'll make the all-state team."

At this point he said he's talking mainly to Ball State, Kansas State, Kansas, Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois and Indiana. He's not heard from the Michigan State staff in some time.
"Northern Illinois and Indiana are my top two teams," he said. "My first will probably be my official visit to Northern Illinois. It's the weekend of Dec. 2. I'll probably also visit Indiana, probably Kansas, and I don't know the rest of them."
Hopkins said he's not in a huge rush to make a decision.
"Yeah I've been sitting back every weekend and try to watch Indiana and Northern Illinois," he said. "I just catch the highlights of the Kansas and Kansas State games. I was down at Mizzou two weekends ago with a couple of friends to see Mizzou play Kansas State."
"I probably sometime in November or December."
