Fisher found much to his liking in Bloomington.
"I want to be part of their rebuilding program," he said. "And I'll be around a coach that is like my coach.
"I felt comfortable with the academic part. I'll be comfortable in the classroom and on the field.
"They made me feel home there."
When asked if he would cancel his Jan. 20 visit to Illinois, Fisher said, "Yes, I'm done now."
The 5-foot-8 and 156 pound Fisher tore the ACL in his right knee and missed his entire senior season. He said he expects to be released next month to run track.
