Hoops makes recruiting tough for OL

Atlanta Westminster two-star offensive guard Phillip Browning is still taking his time with the recruiting process because of a schedule that includes talking to coaches and playing basketball.

“He’s getting all sorts of attention,” his father, Phillip, said. “He wants to play at a school with a good education and a winning tradition. Honestly, Florida State and Georgia are his top two choices, but we’re not sure if Phillip is in their top group. But he’s getting all kinds of attention from Central Florida, South Florida, Duke and Vanderbilt.”

Because of a difficult basketball scheduled, Browning, who is 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, has yet to take his first official visit. Browning played his junior season at Hargrave Military Academy.
