Hooker lands first two offers

Reshawn Hooker picked up his first two offers from Arizona State and Boise State in the last week or so and since both are still so fresh the Fontana (Calif.) A.B. Miller outside linebacker still hasn't done much research on either program.
Hooker, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect, knows some general information on both schools but said he'll sit down soon to really dig in deeper. First, he has a big camp this weekend to focus on.

Hooker is busy this weekend because he plans to compete at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp and a good performance there could earn him some more offers. Getting more options is important to Hooker early on.
"The coaches saw my tape and they saw my test scores so they decided to offer," Hooker said.
"I know (Arizona State) is in the Pac-10 and their defense is good. My uncle actually played at Arizona State. It plays a little bit of an influence. It's not really that big of a deal to me.
"With Boise, I like how they play football. They're quick to the ball, their defense is strong. I like the environment, too. There's not much to get you in trouble."
Because Hooker is anticipating the NIKE Camp this weekend he has decided not to attend Arizona State's junior day on Saturday. He doesn't have any unofficial visits scheduled at this point.
More schools are getting involved with Hooker, who said USC, Oregon, Washington, Duke and San Jose State have all expressed interest recently.
