Hooker has three early favorites

Reshawn Hooker is still open to hearing from new schools but the Fontana (Calif.) A.B. Miller outside linebacker said three schools in particular are standing out as his senior season approaches.
Boise State, Colorado and Arizona are the three early favorites for Hooker, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound three-star prospect who doesn't plan to make his decision until after his senior season.
"Boise is just an awesome school and they were the first to offer me," Hooker said. "The way they've approached me has been good. I talk to them on a regular basis.
"The coach from Colorado came in the spring and talked to me and didn't give me any BS. He said I could compete for a spot. I like the way that program is run and it's away from everything.
"Coach (Tim) Kish from Arizona is the same way. I like the coaches who don't BS you and say you're going to start. I like guys who are honest with me."
Hooker, rated No. 38 at outside linebacker in the 2012 class and No. 49 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com, said waiting until after his senior season to make a commitment shouldn't be that big of an issue.
Taking all five of his official visits is important to Hooker, who said in June that Boise State and UCLA were his two favorites but things have slightly changed in mid-August.
"I'm going to wait until after the season," Hooker said. "I want to take all five of my visits before I make my decision. I was trying to set one up with Boise and the coach told me to check out the schedule and see which game I could make.
"I'm hoping it's not that big of a deal to wait."
Besides offers from Arizona, Boise State and Colorado, Hooker also has Arizona State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, Purdue, San Jose State, UCLA and Washington State on his list.
