Hood hoping for Pac-12 offer

Jaxon Hood just finished a new highlight tape and the Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton defensive tackle is excited to send it out to coaches over the next few weeks.
He thinks it could garner him some new offers and that would be important as he continues to figure out which school fits best.

"I just made my highlight tape so we'll see who gets interested once it comes out," Hood said. "It's going to be big because this season is a whole lot different than last season.
"I put up a lot of good numbers this year. The speed is different, I'm a little bit taller and a lot quicker. It is miles ahead of last year's film and last year's film impressed some people so we'll see how it goes."
So far, Hood, a 6-foot-1, 280-pound prospect, has offers from Washington State, Air Force, Northern Arizona and South Dakota State.
Boston College has also started to show interest and he has his first official visit scheduled for Washington State on Nov. 12.
"Washington State is my biggest offer and I'm pretty close to an offer with Washington," Hood said.
"They just want to see my highlight tape so we'll see how that works out. Boston College called my coach and they said I look like a scholarship player and they want to come out so we'll see with them, too."
If Washington offers, it looks like Hood would commit on the spot. The Hamilton defensive tackle said he loves the program, the coaches and the city so it would be a good fit for him.
Plus, teammate Kendyl Taylor is headed to play for the Huskies so that would be an added bonus.
"I really want to go to Washington," Hood said.
"I went up there already and visited and I really like Washington. I really like the tradition of the program, I love Seattle and those coaches are great. They're all energetic and yelling and I love that about them."
