Home State School Gaining With RB

Newport News (Va.) Heritage running back Michael Johnson is very impressed with the recruiting class that Virginia has compiled so far.
“I especially like the offensive linemen,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound star. “They got the best one in Florida and the best one in New York. That’s what I like to hear.”

Johnson received a package in the mail on Friday detailing the status of what could turn into the best recruiting class in the school’s history.
“I’m looking forward to the visit on Jan. 18,” he said. “I think that will be the weekend that determines the rest of the class. I think if one of us commits, the rest might follow.”
So will Johnson be the first?
“Not right now,” he laughed. “I still like Miami but Virginia is really starting to prove that they could do something. I still want to take my trip to Tennessee on Jan. 11 and then go to Virginia. I don’t think I’ll take a fifth visit. I’m tired of travelling.”
