Holtz lands Lovejoy star

Lovejoy, Ga., is one of the top schools in the Peach State for producing Division I talent and this year is no exception. Offensive guard/defensive tackle Jonathan Battle made his choice over the weekend.
"I took my official visit to East Carolina this weekend and I went ahead and committed right before I left yesterday," Battle said. "I had an offer from them and Memphis, but East Carolina was the only visit I took."

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Battle runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds, He has a 340-pound bench press and 450-pound squat, along with a 25-inch vertical jump.
"I felt really good about the coaches and everything about the school made me feel at home," Battle said. "I got to talk to coach Holtz a lot this weekend and I know he is the kind of guy I would want to play for."
The question is, where will Battle play for the Pirates?
"Memphis recruited me as a defensive lineman, but East Carolina told me that they want me to play offensive line for them, which is fine.
