Holt sets another visit

Encino (Calif.) Crespi athlete D.J. Holt was scheduled to take his first official visit to Arizona State this past weekend. The firing of former coach Dirk Koetter has canceled those plans although Holt does still plan to check out ASU later in the year.
Holt, 6-0, 235 pounds had the Sun Devils as one of his leaders since back in the summer and despite a coaching change, he's still interested.

"I definitely plan to make it out to ASU later on," Holt said. "I was a little surprised when Coach was let go but I'm interested to see who they bring in as a replacement. Right now, my first trip will be next week to Cal (Dec. 8) and then I have Fresno State Dec. 15).
"I also recently set up a trip to Washington for (Jan. 5). Washington and Nevada have both come in for home visits and I expect Cal and Fresno State to come in next week.
"My plan is to take all my trips and decide in January sometime. I want to set up ASU for mid-January once they hire a coach and then hopefully I'll know where I'm going after that visit. I don't have a leader right now, I'm just taking everything in and should know where I'm going by the end of Janaury."
