Holt pulls first offer, on the verge of more

Offer No. 1 came in recently for Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly athlete Jalen Holt. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder discussed his first offer and his plans for the remainder of the summer.
"I recently got an offer from Coastal Carolina," he said. "I'm pretty happy. I like the school I'm interested in anybody on any level."

Holt is looking to gain more offers as he has three other schools he plans to visit.
"Right now I'm thinking about going to NC State, Wake Forest and maybe Duke," he said. "Those are the main three right now talking to me.
"All of them want to see me at camp. I'm not sure I'll be able to work out at all their camps, if not I'll just take a visit to the schools."
What are the schools saying?
"They are talking about offering," he said. "They all want me to play outside linebacker."
Holt maintains he is wide open at this time.
Currently Holt is attempting to make the transition from quarterback last year to tight end and linebacker this season.
"I've been an athlete and I'm used to playing any position on the field," he said. "I'll do whatever to help my team the most."
