Holmes thinking about location
It has been quiet on the recruiting front for Desean Holmes and that's a nice break for the 2015 wide receiver who has been busy all summer.
The Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany standout said some more teams might be getting involved in his recruitment but he hasn't spoken with his coach recently so he's not sure where things stand. Soon, he'll learn of other involvement and he's excited to see how much interest is coming in.

"We're on a dead period right now so my coach hasn't talked to me about any new schools," Holmes said. "I should be talking to him soon to see who's interested.
"I'm not sure about visits right now. My coach prefers I don't visit schools at this point. He wants me to focus on the season so I'm not sure about visits right now."
So far, Holmes has been offered by Cal, Houston, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington. Texas, Alabama and many others have been showing a lot of interest but have not offered yet.
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound standout who has shined at numerous 7on7 events this summer recently made some news when he said UCLA was ahead of USC - even though former teammate and friend Steven Mitchell signed with the Trojans last recruiting cycle.
That comment still stands, the Bruins still have his attention, but Holmes said it's still so early he doesn't know whether he wants to stay closer to home or go far away to play college football.
Holmes is talented enough to have options but the 2015 wide receiver doesn't want to make any decisions yet.
"(UCLA) still stands out because it's close to home," Holmes said.
"I'm still wondering right now whether I should stay close to home or whether I should go further away. I'm still looking into that and figuring out what would be best for me. I'm still trying to work out everything."
