Holmes taking care of business

Kishawn Holmes is a confident football player.
So after apparently doing well in summer school, the three-star all-purpose back from Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta thinks some offers could start coming in finally.

Based solely on his performances this summer at the RCS Los Angeles or numerous 7on7 events, Holmes could already hold a bunch of offers. Now that he's taken care of business in the classroom, the three-star is sure things are about to pick up.
"I've been talking to UCLA a lot lately," Holmes said. "I just finished all my summer school classes so I'm waiting for them to put that on my transcripts and then my overall GPA should boost up dramatically.
"Going into the first game of the season, going into the first few games of the season, I will definitely have some offers. That is a definite because that's all Arizona wanted and I talked to (UCLA) coach (Jim) Mora a couple days ago and I've been waiting for that. I did what I had to do."
The 5-foot-8, 178-pound prospect said UCLA and Arizona could be close on offers. Hawaii and San Jose State are two other teams that have popped up on the recruiting radar and many others are showing interest as well.
Offers could be close and Holmes said others might wait until the first few games of his senior season. The Vista Murrieta recruit believes college coaches want to see how he performs without five-star Su'a Cravens on offense this season.
Holmes, to no one's surprise, is sure things will go well.
"They knew I had to take care of the grades and now they want to see how we'll react without having Su'a," Holmes said.
"The first few games of the season, if I have a pop-off few games, it's a wrap. Arizona is talking about an offer and it's basically the same thing with everyone else - Hawaii and San Jose State. Everyone wants to see how I'll react without having Su'a complementing me."
