Holmes stuck on the Canes

Josh Holmes of San Diego Point Loma was one of Miami's first commitments – pledging all the way back on May 20th. Despite repeated attention from other programs, the four-star Rivals250 prospect says he's sticking with the Canes and doesn't have any plans on looking around.
"My commitment is still solid to Miami," Holmes said.

"I'm pretty much set and ready to go. I won't be going anywhere else. The last call I got was from Fresno State. He was just talking about my season and asked if I was interested in Fresno State at all. I told him I was going to Miami and he wished me luck. That was about it."
Holmes said he's had some productive calls with coach Larry Coker about when he is going to take an official visit to Coral Gables.
"Coach (Larry) Coker is going to send me a list of weekends I can choose to take my visit here pretty soon," Holmes said. "I'm not sure when I'd like to go, but Miami is the only visit I'm going to take."
Holmes has had a productive senior season. In a blow out victory against Claremont earlier this season, he had nine tackles – including five solo stops – a forced fumble and a touchdown catch at tight end.
