Holmes not only star at Scottsdale

Louis Holmes, the nation's No. 1 junior college player might get all the headlines at Scottsdale (Ariz.) City College, but he's not the only defensive lineman getting heavy attention from the college scouts. Holmes' teammates Byron Honore and Gerard Lee have emerged as two heavily recruited prospects with scholarship offers.
Honore is a 6-foot-4, 255-pound strongside defensive end and Lee is a 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle. Both will graduate in May and have three years to play two seasons after moving to Arizona from New Orleans St. Augustine High School.

Honore and Lee both visited Boise State two weeks ago and Honore said he came away with a very good impression of the visit.
"The visit was great," Honore said. "I liked Boise State a lot. They're my leader up there with Oregon State. I liked the blue turf, the weather, the coaches. I'm being recruited by coach Romeo Bundison.
"He's just got a great personality. Everything I saw up there, I liked. I'm also looking hard at Oregon State. They haven't offered me like Boise has."
South Florida is also a factor in race. Both prospects are slated to visit the Bulls next weekend. Honore is also scheduled to visit UNLV on December 9 and Marshall is also interested.
