Holmes next in line at Rockledge
Rockledge, Fla., always is home to some impressive collection of talent. This year it’s home to inside linebacker/athlete Johnny Holmes, who is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds.
Holmes, who is already getting heavy attention from Florida, Florida State, Miami and Ohio State, earned honorable mention honors the past two seasons after racking up 112 solo tackles, 95 assists, 14 sacks, 36 tackles for a loss and seven fumble recoveries.

“His motor is always running at 100 percent,” Rockledge coach Chuck Wood said. “He’s aggressive and always stays on his feet.”
Holmes could even project as a defensive end at his size, but at this point he’s just starting to think about what will be important when it comes time to make a decision.
“I want to go to a college with a good coaching staff and good facilities,” he said. “I also want to find a place with a good academic curriculum and that will let me play pretty quickly.”
Holmes admits that he grew up a fan of the Florida Gators.
