Holmes names two favorites

Desean Holmes has seen his recruitment get much busier since last season and another major offer just came in for the Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany receiver to consider.
The 2015 standout said Oklahoma offered him and the coaches compared Holmes to former Sooner standout Ryan Broyles.

Immediately, Oklahoma moves up to one of his favorites.
"I just got the Oklahoma offer," Holmes said. "I'm very excited. The coaching staff said I could go there and play early. I'm excited about it but I'm taking my time with the process.
"It was a surprise out of nowhere. They had a receiver in 2010 named Ryan Broyles, he was pretty good. He broke the receiving record. I talked to one of the coaches and he said I reminded him of Ryan. Everything has been good with them and we're talking a lot."
So far, the 2015 standout has been offered by Cal, Houston, Nebraska, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington.
Holmes said after he helped Alemany beat Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure this past weekend that Florida State and now Michigan are showing the most interest. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound recruit said UCLA is slipping in his recruitment.
USC and Oklahoma have taken the lead and the Trojans might have a slight edge since it's close to home and he's especially close with former teammate Steven Mitchell, a freshman receiver at USC.
"Right now USC and Oklahoma are my top two," Holmes said. "It's SC. It's close to home, it's not far. Steven is going there and he's like a big brother to me."
