Holmes Emerging, Hearing From New Schools

Class of 2014 flanker Corey Holmes of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas is beginning to emerge on the field and more schools are taking notice. Holmes is looking for a breakout season for the powerhouse Raiders. He does a good job catching the ball away from his body and not trapping. His slender frame should add weight and muscle as his body develops.
Right now he reports six offers, but he isn't in a rush to commit and wants to hear from other schools. Holmes said, "Houston is close to offering. Oregon is showing interest as well. Texas Tech said they want to check me out this year. Notre Dame is in there too along with Clemson."

When asked about his list of favorites or top schools Holmes replied, "Right now I'm trying to keep my options open. No one school stands out. I like everyone that is interested in me."
The 6-foot-1 wide receiver talked about working on all phases of his game. The Raiders are in need of playmakers on the outside and it looks like they have their man in Holmes. If he keeps improving the St. Thomas standout should be on a track to land double-digit offers by the end of the fall.
Holmes will be looking to showcase his game in an upcoming nationally televised game with Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep on Friday, September 14.
