Holmes already on Pac-12 board

Desean Holmes only ran a few routes and then he landed his first offer.
It's no matter that Holmes is a 2015 prospect because the Utah coach apparently loved what he saw from the Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany wide receiver during a recent workout.

Holmes, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect, was thrilled - and seriously surprised - to hear that even though he has lots of high school years ahead of him he's already on the board with a Pac-12 offer.
"It was a big surprise," Holmes said.
"The first time they ever saw me they offered. I was happy and surprised at the same time.
"They came out to practice and the coaches were watching me in my routes and all that and during that day my coach came up to me and told me Utah offered me off the eight routes I did. I was excited. I was happy."
Holmes said he is thrilled about the Utah offer and hopes it can help him land others as his high school career continues.
USC has talked with him a little bit and since it's so early in his recruitment, the 2015 prospect said he's open to hearing from all programs.
"I'm very humble," Holmes said. "It's pretty good to have that offer but I'd never say I'm the best right now.
"I hope it leads to some others. I'm expecting it to."
The next few classes at Mission Hills Bishop Alemany are loaded with top talent led by four-star receiver Steven Mitchell so exposure should not be a problem for Holmes as he goes through the next few seasons.
