Holman has a favorite

Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips defensive tackle Davion Holman is still a relatively new name in the recruiting process, but schools are beginning to find out about him this fall.
"Daveon did not play at all last year," Phillips head coach Kevin Pettis said. "He had an injury and didn't play at all so a lot of schools aren't aware of him yet. He is going to dominate this year, he's going to raise his stock tremendously once the season starts."

Holman is a 6-foot-4, 265-pound beast who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, but impressed a few schools enough this spring to earn an offer.
"I have offers from Pittsburgh, Florida A&M and Northwestern," Holman said. "Florida State, Pittsburgh, Florida A&M, Miami, Auburn and Florida have all called me so far this month. My coach told me that Miami was probably going to offer soon, but they have not offered me yet."
Through just four games this season Holman has already accumulated 38 tackles, two sacks and forced one fumble.
"Pittsburgh, Florida State, Miami, Auburn and West Virginia would be my top five," Holman said. "Pittsburgh is my No. 1 school though. They were the first school to step up and offer me and I really like the thought of being able to go there and play early."
So far this season Holman has not attended any games.
"We were supposed to go to the Florida State-Miami game, but we ended up having practice so I didn't end up getting to go," Holman said. "I really don't have any plans to go anywhere this weekend, but I would like to so things could change."
