Holloway brothers light up the defense

GALENA PARK, Texas - The Holloway brothers could be the next big thing to hit the tradition rich Galena Park High School by being two big targets for the offense to on a regular basis.
First is senior tight end/wide receiver Andrew Holloway who at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds was a track/basketball star before being convinced to give football a shot during his junior season. His brother Warren Holloway is completely different at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds because he's been playing football since he was in junior high school.

"He's got the catching skills on me," Andrew Holloway said about his brother. "I can't catch like him, but I'm getting better. The coaches just liked my speed and said I could be a college football player or have some people look at me if I played football."
The coaches were right because Texas State, Houston, and TCU are now aware of the tall, rangy prospect.
My brother is a junior. I just started my junior year but he started since 7th grade. He's got the catching skills on me. I can't catch like him. I was running track and basketball before football.
The coaches liked my speed and said I could possibly earn a scholarship or have some people look at me. I play tight end. His brother, with more experience on the football field, could see his recruiting start much earlier.
As a junior, Holloway is known as a deceivingly fast target for the quarterback and he credits his long football career as the reason for his abilities.
"I'm big and fast, and I block pretty well," Warren Holloway said. "A lot of people don't like blocking, but as a receiver that's what you have to do sometimes so I've been working on that along with my receiving talent."
Though he has not heard from any schools, he has an in-state favorite that rings true with many Houston prospects.
"UT, I just love them," Holloway said. "I would be really interested if they offered or sent me some stuff during my junior year."
