Hollins is an OL to watch

Recruiting is just beginning for Virginia Beach (Va.) Cox offensive lineman Gabe Hollins. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder has received a bit of mail to date, but is largely under the radar at this time.
"I haven't gotten many looks yet," he said. "Old Dominion invited me to a basketball game and I've gotten a few letters from Virginia Tech, but that's been about it so far."

Hollins claims no favorite schools.
"I actually haven't really watched college football, but I love to play," he said. "I want an environment where we're a family and when we're down the family picks you up. I want a good football program too."
Hollins finished his junior season earning second team all-district honors.
His coach, Bill Stachelski discussed his prospect more.
"He was Alston Smith's replacement and stepped in and did a tremendous job in Alston's stead. He's probably an offensive lineman, but he blossomed late," he said. "He's really mobile and has transformed his body in the last year. This year was a breakout year for him.
"I think he's an offensive lineman because he can move. He needs to get a little faster, but you can see on tape, he moves well."
Off the field, Hollins is a good prospect too.
"He comes from a great family, a military family," he said. "Gabe is quiet and soft spoken. He is a lot like Alston to be honest with you; he has the same size and demeanor. He's got a mean streak too that'll help him out."
