Hollingsworth takes unofficial to Raleigh

Lee County, N.C. safety Jay Hollingsworth was one of many visitors to make their way to North Carolina State's campus over the weekend. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder enjoyed his time in Raleigh.
"It was a good visit, I liked it," he said. "I got there and they took us on a tour of the campus and athletic center. Then I went on a small tour around the city and we came back and they answered questions about academics.

"After that, I spoke with some of the coaches including Keith Willis. It was interesting to see what kind of work and stretching the team does."
Last week Hollingsworth took another unofficial visit to Maryland.
"I visited Maryland the week before and that was nice too," he stated. "I met with my recruiter up there and went to the basketball game against North Carolina. That was a great contest."
Besides the Wolfpack and Terrapins, who else is taking an interest in Hollingsworth?
"I'm getting mail from Georgia Tech, Army, Michigan State, Duke, Penn State, Marshall and more," he said. "So far, I'd say my favorite is Maryland. They've been the most interested and I like the whole vibe I got from there. The location also would give me a lot of exposure."
One other school that may have an advantage is North Carolina.
"I've followed them my whole life and if they came in, I'd be very interested."
Hollingsworth earned all-conference honors as a junior registering 73 tackles and three interceptions. He added 1,048 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.
