Hollingsworth is sticking with Duke

Duke's announcement that Ted Roof wouldn't be coming back had little effect on 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back Jay Hollingsworth. The Lee County, N.C. prospect is sticking with the Blue Devils.
"It wasn't too big of a surprise, a bit expected," he said. "I'm a little disappointed. We did have a special bond together.

"I talked to a couple of their coaches on Sunday night and the decision doesn't affect me. I still like Duke. I like the environment and vibe I got when I was there. That'll be the same with a new coach."
Despite missing approximately four games to injury, the three-star prospect was invited to the Shrine Bowl on December 15th.
"I got hurt because I started having back problems," he stated. "I still managed to get 1,000-yards rushing and 13-touchdowns.
"I was much stronger this year. The injury kept my speed down. I started to get it back in the last game of the season. I hope to showcase my talent more at the Shrine Bowl. It's a great honor that they think I'm one of the elite prospects in the state of North Carolina."
