Holland takes second trip to Cal

Jamirr Holland has taken two trips to Cal this season and has enjoyed himself during both visits
That could be big for the 2014 cornerback from Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill as his recruitment continues to pick up.

Holland's latest trip was for the Cal-Stanford game and he was impressed by basically everything he saw during his time in Berkeley.
"The Cal-Stanford game was really good and I had a good time there," Holland said.
"I got to talk to the recruiting coach and their d-backs coach, coach (Ashley) Ambrose. They really liked what they saw but they want to see some more things. Hopefully I can hear back from them soon. I know they're busy."
The Golden Bears lost to Stanford and are struggling this season but Holland has a longer view for the program and said he likes the new stadium and facilities, the coaches and what the players stand for.
An offer from Cal would be big for Holland, who is also hearing from Utah and a little from Boise State early on in his recruitment.
What also might be a little bit of a draw is that Holland's teammate at Pleasanton Foothill, three-star tight end Ray Hudson, is committed to the Golden Bears so there is even more familiarity with the program.
"That was my second time down there and I like being around there," Holland said. "I like the atmosphere. The stadium was the first thing I really liked and they have a really nice facility. That was one thing that caught my eye at first.
"The atmosphere around the team, what they stand for, I have a few friends that play for the team and even Ray Hudson talks about what they bring to the table. I like the whole family, tight-knit, never-die kind of thing. I like that."
