Holiday planning official trips

Dechaun Holiday said it's still too early to name leaders but there are definitely some schools that are in really good shape as the four-star works on his official visit schedule.
"I'm still a little bit open," Holiday said. "I'm about to release my top 10 pretty soon but USC and UCLA are up there. Oregon and Washington are up there, too, along with a few other schools. Those are the few that are up there."

The San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills defensive back - who looked especially good at wide receiver this past weekend at the Huntington Beach 7on7 - said he's working on his official visit plans and two schools are being highly considered for trips.
Holiday, rated as the No. 16 cornerback in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, said that does not necessarily mean those schools are the favorites but if he's taking official trips then they have to be at least in the mix.
"I'm planning on seeing what my officials are going to be," Holiday said. "I do believe Oregon and UCLA will be two of them.
"It's a little early but I'm pretty sure I want to take officials to those schools. I want to see UCLA a little more because I don't get to see them as much as I get to see USC and Oregon, I want to get out that way. I might take an official visit to Washington, too."
There is no specific timetable for Holiday to make a decision. Not many new programs have reached out recently so those four teams look the best and the four-star is working on figuring out his top 10 heading into his senior season.
Official visits could be crucial in his decision-making process.
"It will probably be when I feel most comfortable with the school and I'm 100 percent solid that I want to go to that school," Holiday said.
