Holding strong at five offers for Ash

FORT WORTH, Texas – Keller, Texas offensive line standout Nick Ash has been beating up on his own teammates in the offseason now for several months. Last weekend, he had the opportunity to beat up on someone else for a change and compete at the TCU Nike Training Camp. Ash more than held his own against some of the best players in the region.
"It was good just to get out there and go agasint some other people other than my own teammates," Ash said. "There were some good players there, some of them I'm not so sure about. I stacked up pretty good."

As is always the case in competitive settings, Ash took away some points of emphasis for his training in the future.
"I know I just have to keep my feet moving when I block somebody and just overall my footwork."
At 6-foot-5, 261 pounds, Ash has already proven that he is ready for the college game. College recruiters don't just have Ash on their radar, but have him high up on their recruiting boards and he has several offers to prove it.
"Right now I've got offers from Nebraska, [Texas] Tech, Washington State, TCU and Houston," he said. "Nebraska and Tech stand out because they're in the Big 12."
As Ash's stock continues to rise he will start to schedule his summer that will likely involve some trips to college. Until then, Ash will be playing Spring Football, which starts on Monday.
As far as what he is looking for in a school, Ash is focused on the overall academic program followed by football factors.
