Holden visits Cincinnati, NC State

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha defensive end Deonte Holden is still picking up offers and he recently visited two of the schools recruiting him the hardest.
Iowa, Hawaii and East Carolina gave the 6-foot-4, 218-pound defensive end his three most recent offers and they join schools like Temple, Toledo, Charlotte and Cincinnati that have already done the same.

Holden recently visited Cincinnati and the Bearcats made him feel right at home. The school's academic focus also seems to be a good match.
"Cincinnati offered me once I took a visit up there," Holden said. "It was great up there. I got along with the coaches really well and I got to basically see how they coach their players and how they're a family.
"I really like that school because of what I want to do with my life. I want to be an architect and they're one of the top five [schools] in the country for architecture."
He also visited NC State even though the Wolfpack has not offered yet. While he does not have any favorites the ACC school seemed to impress him a lot.
"I love NC State. NC State's the best," he said. "I got along with the coaches very well. They showed me around basically the whole campus. I got to see a lot of things that showed me a lot about the education and football-wise. It was a great trip."
Holden said schools are torn on whether he would play defensive end or outside linebacker.
