Holden now at five offers

Green Cove Springs (Fla.) Clay offensive tackle Will Holden has worked very hard since his junior season concluded. When he stepped on the practice fields this week for the start of spring ball, he felt like a new person.
"I feel like I have really gotten a lot bigger since last year, as I have put on some weight, and I have gotten stronger in the weight room," Holden said. "I feel like it is going to allow me to play at a different level."

Holden weighed 244 pounds as a junior on the field but is now checking in at 271 pounds. In the weight room, he is bench pressing 295 pounds now and recently had a power clean of 300 pounds.
So far this spring, Holden has seen Connecticut, Massachusetts, Harvard, Samford, and South Alabama. Two of those schools have offered him joining the likes of Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, and Southern Miss.
"Massachusetts offered me recently," Holden said. "South Alabama also spoke with me (Wednesday) to offer me."
As for upcoming visitors, Holden expects Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Georgia Tech, and Southern Miss to drop in.
With a few schools in the picture early on, Holden isn't in a rush to name a leader or a short list.
"Not at this point," Holden said. "It is really early still for me. I am still new to this recruiting process."
During the summer, Holden hopes to visit the schools that have offered. When he steps on campus, he is looking for a place that feels right and offers the right academic options.
"I want to find a school that has either criminology or a management degree offered," Holden said. "A lot of schools do have both of those."
